Ney (MidEast Flute)

This Turkish instrument seems to have a very simple constructions, but has a magnificent and mystics expression and dates back in the ancient periods of history. It is made of special reeds from tropical countries. According to the Turkish sound system, it has 6 holes on the front and 1 on the back side for tuning. The ambitious is near to 3 octaves. There are following kinds of this instrument, according to their tuning and length: Mansur, Şah, Davut, Bolahenk, Kız, Süpürde and Girift.
